Anle Gou headlines a sold out Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Opera Națională Română Cluj-Napoca
On December 6, Chinese tenor Anle Gou makes his unexpected comeback at the Opera Națională Română Cluj-Napoca to embody Conte Almaviva in a sold out performance of Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, after his acclaimed role debut last september.
Gou will perform Almaviva opposite to Sebastian Balaj (Figaro), Marina Dobrescu (Rosina), Zoltan Molnar (Don Bartolo), Corneliu Huțanu (Don Basilio) e Oana Trîmbițaș (Berta). On the podium of the Orchestra of the Opera Națională Română Cluj-Napoca, David Crescenzi.
The production is directed by Mihaela Sandu, with scenes by Anca Pintilie.
Gou is becoming one of the most relevant Rossini’s tenor of the new generation. Last March he debuted Gernando/Ubaldo in Armida at the Teatru Manoel of Malta and he is set to make next February his role debut as Don Ramiro in a new production of La Cenerentola at the Landestheater Detmold.
