Gabriele Mangione, last performance as Luigi in Weimar before Calaf And Rodolfo
On November 29 Gabriele Mangione returns on the stage of the DNT Weimar to perform Luigi in Puccini’s Il Tabarro di Giacomo Puccini, the last performance of the acclaimed production of Trittico.
The Italian tenor made his role debut in Weimar last may, gaining an enthusiastic welcome by the audience and the critics. The historical Viennese magazine Merkerpraised his confidence in dealing with one of the most difficult tenor roles.
Mangione will reprise the role next season, in which he will returns to perform also Radames in Aida, he debuted in summer 2024.
In the next months he will return at the Teater Vanemuine of Tartu to perform Calafin Turandot and Rodolfo in a new production of La Bohème. Last october, his house debut in Tartu has been welcomed by the local press as the “Best debut 2024”.
