November is a busy month with Puccini's La Fanciulla del West at the Landestheater Detmold conducted by Per-Otto Johansson, Il Tabarro at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar with Gabriele Mangione in the role of Luigi, Rossini's Mosé in Egitto at the Teatro Municipale Valli di Reggio Emilia with Angela Schisano. Paolo Mascari also returns to collaborate with Mº Enrico Saverio Pagano for Beethoven's IX and with Mº Lorenzo Donati for Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle. Alberto Jona will conduct (with the support of Controluce Teatro d'Ombra) Handel's Israel in Egypt, conducted by Robert King on the podium of the Orchestra dell'Accademia del Santo Spirito, for the Turin Baroque Music Festival, for the 200th anniversary of the Museo Egizio in Turin.
Highlights include a performance of the Verdi Requiem conducted by Andrea Solinas at the AKM Concert Hall in Istanbul, with the extraordinary participation of Ferruccio Furlanetto. Solinas will also conduct Tosca and Carmen at the Mersin State Opera, where he will also conduct the new production of Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail. Last but not least, countertenor Michał Sławecki returns to Tokyo after his debut at the Bunka Kaikan with Kaija Saariaho (Only the Sound Remains) to sing Katarzyna Krakowiak's artistic performance Keeping Flowers (Alive) alongside Isabelle Duthoit. On 22 and 23 November, he will appear in History as the writer Witold Gombrowicz in the world premiere of Dobrzyński's opera, composed for the celebrations organised by the Senate of the Republic of Poland to mark the 200th anniversary of Gombrowicz's birth.
