After the brilliant success of Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Carcano di Milano (listen here), Andrea Solinas returns tonight, October 19th, (sold out performance) at the Mersin State Opera, to conduct Carmen, of which the next year marks the 150th anniversary of the first performance.  

 

Solinas, who is General Music Director of the Mersin State Opera House (Turkey), conducts the production signed by the Turkish director Haldun Özörten, with a cast formed by Ni̇han Çeti̇n Aydin/Ezgi Karakaya (Carmen), Özer Öndeş/Oğuz Çimen (Don José), Mehmet Murat Güney/Mehmet Ali Tutar (Escamillo) e Ceren Göğüş/Serin Saybaşili (Micaëla).
