Andrea Solinas leads to success Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi
Last October 10th Andrea Solinas conducted a special performance of Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Carcano di Milano, for the Puccini’s Centenary Celebration organised in cooperation with the Conservatorio “G. Verdi” di Milano.
Solinas, who is Music Director of the Mersin State Opera House (Turkey), has been acclaimed by the audience and critics for his affinity with Puccini’s music. The cultural magazine ArtInMovimento wrote:
“[Andrea Solinas] showed an endless elegance, leading the young musicians of the OSCoM Symphony Orchestra of the Milan Conservatory with great attention and always looking for a special connection with the singers whom he was always been able to enhance. He directed the intense score of Suor Angelica with wisdom and Gianni Schicchi with a lively and overwhelming rhythm. His gesture, gifted of breadth and clarity, was the result of a firm, convincing and absolutely precise direction.”
