Anle Gou makes his role debut as Gamari in Isacco at The Theater an Der Wien - Kammeroper

Tomorrow, June 5, Anle Gou makes his role debut as Gamari in Isacco, figura del Redentore, opera-oratorio by the Viennese composer Marianna Martines. 

The Theater an Der Wien stages the rare and precious score as part of the season of the Kammeroper. The production is directed by Eva-Maria Höckmayr, and conducted by Chiara Cattani, on the podium of the Bach Consort Wien. Beside Gou, Christian Senn in the title role,  Dennis Orellana, Sophie Gordeladze and Andjela Spaic. 

Anle Gou describes his experience: «Gamari is vocally a truly challenging role. In its big aria,“Dal gran peso ogni momento”, it requires extreme coloratura. Despite Martines was close to the environment of Mozart Classicism, she highlights the Baroque singing stylistic features, especially the use of the agility to create a dramatic effect”.

His upcoming engagements include Pierre de Médicis by Poniatowski and Rossini’s Otello at the Royal Opera Festival in Kraków and at the Rossini in Wildbad Festival, under the baton of José Miguel Pérez-Sierra and Antonino Fogliani.
