The Curtain Rises. A New Season is beginning.

Ben Artists Management looks ahead to a 2026/27 season marked by important debuts, international engagements and new artistic milestones for its roster.

The season opens with a strong autumn for Diana Alexe, who will appear as Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette at Opera Națională Română Cluj-Napoca and as soprano soloist in Carmina Burana at Vienna’s Musikverein, before adding two major role debuts to her repertoire with Mimì in La Bohème and Adina in L’elisir d’amore. In spring 2027, she will make her debut as Maria in Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda at the Finnish National Opera. In the same production by Sir David McVicar, Julia Rutigliano will make her role debut as Elisabetta in Maria Stuarda, following performances of Verdi’s Requiem in Germany and Berlioz’s La Mort de Cléopâtre.

Elena Moșuc continues her Verdi journey with Leonora in Il Trovatore at Opera Națională Română Iași, followed by a solo recital, Hommage à Verdi, while a further 2027 role debut will be announced shortly. Valentina Puskás will likewise make an important step into the Verdi repertoire with her role debut as Leonora in Il Trovatore at the Hungarian State Opera in Budapest.

The season brings significant new repertoire for several members of the roster. Lana Kos will make her debuts as Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera and in the title role of Janáček’s Jenůfa, while Sandra Laagus joins Oper Leipzig as Flora Bervoix in La Traviata and appears at Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin as Ännchen in Weber’s Der Freischütz. Michal Sławecki will make his debut in the title role of Monteverdi’s Orfeo at the Finnish National Opera, alongside engagements in Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria with Polska Opera Królewska and Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro at Warsaw Chamber Opera.

For Anle Gou, the season features two highly anticipated role debuts: Ferrando in Così fan tutte at Ópera de Oviedo and Aceste in Mozart’s Ascanio in Alba at Opernhaus Zürich with Les Talens Lyriques conducted by Christophe Rousset. George Vîrban faces an equally rich season, making his debut as Romeo in Roméo et Juliette in Cluj-Napoca and as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly at Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, alongside Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at the Israeli Opera and Lensky in Eugene Onegin with the Israeli Symphony Orchestra.

On the concert and international stage, Murat Karahan will perform Manrico in Verdi’s Il Trovatore at the Philharmonie de Paris in March 2027, conducted by Jérémie Rhorer at the held of Le Cercle de l’Harmonie.

The season also sees an extensive international presence for conductor Andrea Solinas, with productions of Un ballo in maschera across Cremona, Pavia, Como and Bergamo, Carmina Burana in Mersin, Die Fledermaus in Tirana, La Bohème in Mersin and La Traviata in Istanbul.
