Anle Gou to make his role debut as Gamari in Isacco at the Theatre an Der Wien - Wiener Kammeroper

On June 5, the Chinese tenor Anle Gou makes his debut as Gamari in Isacco, figlio del Redentore, opera-oratorio by the Viennese composer Marianna Martines at the Theater an Der Wien (part of the season of the Kammeroper).

Gamari is the main tenor role of this rare masterpiece. Director Eva-Maria Höckmayr will

stage the opera, combining intense acting and use of cinematic elements. Chiara Cattani,

will be the podium of the Bach Consort Wien.

Beside Gou, Christian Senn in the title role, Dennis Orellana, Sophie Gordeladze and

Andjela Spaic.

Anle Gou describes his experience: «Gamari is vocally a truly challenging role. In its big

aria,“Dal gran peso ogni momento”, it requires extreme coloratura. Despite Martines was

close to the environment of Mozart Classicism, she highlights the Baroque singing

stylistic features, especially the use of the agility to create a dramatic effect”.

and Rossini’s Otello at the Royal Opera Festival Kraków and at the Festival Rossini in
