On April 19, 22, and 24, Diana Alexe makes her long-awaited Italian debut, performing one of her signature roles, Violetta, in La Traviata on the stage of the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari.

Under the baton of Maestro Jordi Bernàcer and in the highly acclaimed production by Sofia Coppola, with costumes designed by the late Valentino Garavani, Alexe is set to bring to life a character with whom she has recently made a triumphal house debut at the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki.

The press described her portrayal as “a true Violetta Valéry after quite some time,” “outstanding,” and praised her as “a magnificent voice that assures goosebumps.”

Beside her, Tigran Melkonyan will appear as Alfredo, and Min Kim as Giorgio Germont.
