Lana Kos is Madama Butterfly conducted by Oksana Lyniv at the Tokyo Spring Festival

On April 10 & 13, 2025, Lana Kos headlines Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at the Tokyo Spring Festival 2025, on the legendary stage of the Bunka Kaikan. 

The Puccini’s masterpiece will be performed in a concert version, conducted by Oksana Lyniv, on the podium of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. The cast displays Piero Pretti as Pinkerton, Kai Eijiro and Shimizu Kasumi as Sharpless and Suzuki. 

Kos made her debut as  Cio Cio-San at the Bühnen Bern, highly acclaimed by the audience and the critics. She performed again the role at the Croatian National Theatre of Zagreb, under the baton of Pier Giorgio Morandi, in the production by Andrea Cigni.
