Welcome Maximilien Seren-Piccinni

Ben Artists Management is proud to announce the beginning of an exciting new collaboration with the Belgian-Italian director Maximilien Seren-Piccinni.

Seren-Piccinni was born in Verona into a Belgian-Italian family with deep roots in the history of music: he is a descendant, through his mother’s side, of the famous Italian composer and master of opera buffa Niccolò Piccinni.

Franco Zeffirelli was the first person to see in Seren-Piccinni a theatrical sensitivity, and he encouraged him to dive into the world of theatre and opera. He has been personal assistant to Mario Monicelli, thanks whom he took his first steps into the world of cinema.

He graduated in Regie and Theatre at Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, where he obtained the Regie Diplom in 2014. In 2019, he obtained a Master’s degree in opera directing at the Polo Nazionale Artistico di Alta Specializzazione sul Teatro musicale e coreutico in Verona.

In August 2025 he launched at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival the short movie Orfeo, a co-production between the Garda Festival (of which he is Artistic Director) and Bologna’s ICNN - Istituto Cinematografico Nuovi Narratori.
